The Canadian Real Estate Association (CREA), released statistics recently that stated: “national home sales activity edged up on a month-over-month basis in January 2013. National sales activity has held fairly steady after gearing down last August in the wake of tightened mortgage lending rules.

The report went on to say “Activity gains there were partially offset by softer sales in Ottawa, the Fraser Valley, Montreal, Regina, London and St. Thomas, and Calgary.”

Keep in mind that softer sales don’t necessarily mean properties aren’t selling! It does mean that it may be harder to sell your home, and this points to the importance of having a strong realtor working for your best interests.

Our most recent February 2013 listing sold in 4 days. In fact, our last 10 listings sold in an average 7.6 days!! The longest was 26 days, on a unique property in an unusual setting with a very limited number of Buyers to attract, which we accomplished through our tailored marketing plan. The rest sold between 2 and 10 days.

If you have property to sell or if you’re looking to buy give us a call. We’d love to put our expertise to work for you.
